Build a Web Gallery for Client Proofing?

First, put all the images you want into a single collection, then press Command-Option-7 (PC: Ctrl-Alt-7) to jump over to the Web module. Go to the Template Browser (in the left side Panels area) and choose a template as your starting place (as you move your cursor over each template, a preview of it appears up in the Preview panel, also in the left side Panels area). By the way, the term “Classic” here is a code word for “outdated, old-looking galleries from Lightroom 1.0,” so choose something from one of the other three sets (I chose the Track Gallery [Default] template, here). Once that’s in place, the center Preview area shows how your web gallery will look, and you use the right side panels to customize how it looks. In the Site Info panel, I typed in a title for the page (Harbor Portrait Proofs) and it updated right on the page live as I typed. I added my name and a link to my website and they updated, too. As you scroll down the right side panels, you’ll see where you can change the background, text, and icon colors, along with how many rows of images you see, if you want captions or titles displayed, and the size and quality of the image that’s displayed when one of your viewers clicks on the thumbnail. At the bottom, in the Upload Settings panel, you enter your FTP information for uploading your finished web gallery to your server. If you just said “FTP?” or “Server? or “What?!” then you’ll need to get this info from whomever hosts your website. If you don’t already have a website, unfortunately, for this to work, you’re going to need one.
