Sort By Name, Date, or Time?

In Grid view, tap on a collection’s name at the very top of the screen and a pop-up menu will appear where you’ll see a bunch of sorting choices. The Flat view is the normal Grid view you’ve been seeing throughout this chapter, where your images appear one right after another in order by name. The Segmented view (shown above) lets you sort the images by when they were taken—you can choose by year, by month, by day, or even by hour. To choose one of these time-based sorting options, tap-and-hold on a current date and a pop-up menu appears (shown in the inset above) where you can choose which measure of time you want them sorted by. Also, at the bottom of the main menu (the one you chose from the top of the screen), if you tap on Sort by Capture Time, you’ll get additional options for changing your sorting order (the options here are different, though, depending on which view you choose—Flat or Segmented).
